Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra was busy rehearsing for the fourth concert of our 2019-2020 season when everything shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are so sad that we were not able to perform with our Young Artists Competition (PCO/PMTA Greater Pittsburgh Chapter) finalists. The three finalists for the 2019-2020 season are: Chelsea Chao (piano), Sophia Jho (harp) and Emily Kocur (piano). ... We hope we will be able to perform with them in the future! Currently, the safety and health of our patrons and personnel is our biggest priority as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop. While Pennsylvania's Stay At Home order has been lifted, the timeline for a safe return to orchestral performance continues to be uncertain. Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra is working to discover ways to adapt in this new environment and connect with the community through music. Stay healthy and stay tuned!

PCO Features This is Alejandro Pinzon, former assistant conductor and most recent guest soloist! The pandemic put a hold to his musical activities, but his creativity never stops. Because of the quarantine, Alejandro decided to be proactive about a project he had left dormant for a long time. A month ago, he officially launched Corona Leather , a leather crafting company, based in Pittsburgh, dedicated to bringing hope and happiness to people around the country in the shape o...f leather goods. Check out his beautiful handcrafted pieces here: http://www.facebook.com/coronaleather We wish Alejandro good luck in his new endeavor! We would like to hear from you! What are YOU doing during the quarantine?
