Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation 07.07.2021

Please consider a year-end one-time donation - or a recurring monthly donation - to invest in what PLF will do in 2021. The mission of the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation is to equip, connect, and mobilize leaders from every sphere of influence in our city for the common good - and that vision was realized in amazing ways in 2020! 1. PLF EQUIPPED our city's leaders in 2020 through the all-new Leaders Collaborative and Emerging Leaders Collaborative. In the fall of 2020, busi...ness, not-for-profit, civic, and church leaders from all across our city elevated their leadership effectiveness at a time when effective leadership is so critical. 2. PLF CONNECTED our city's leaders in 2020 through prayer. On Friday, November 6, 2020, PLF gathered Pittsburgh leaders together via ZOOM for a much-needed hour of prayer. On Thursday, April 22, 2021, PLF will bring leaders from our city together for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Leaders Prayer Breakfast. 3. PLF MOBILIZED our city's leaders in 2020 to address food insecurity in our city. Over $170,000 from Amen to Action supporters was given through PLF to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in 2020 providing over 850,000 meals for people in need. https://plf.org/give

In 2021, volunteers and their children will meet during the month of November at one of ten different locations around the greater Pittsburgh area to once again embrace the goal of packing one million meals for our neighbors! You can join with other people of faith and good will to address food insecurity in our city! FOR MORE INFO - GET CONNECTED TO: HTTPS://AMENTOACTION.ORG/VOLUNTEER/

Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When it comes to generosity whether regarding money or time, it honors God when we give to Him first not as an afterthought. That means being committed to being generous up front instead of giving God our leftovers. Don’t end with generosity start with generosity! Question: As you look at the needs of our city such as food insecurity, are you moved to be generous with your money or time... in order to make a difference? One surprise I got when an increasing number of teens and young adults started to attend our church was witnessing their passion for making a tangible difference in the world. At one point, our church youth group decided to sponsor several children through Compassion International by pooling their part-time job earnings and allowances. Their willingness to volunteer and generously give inspired volunteerism and generosity throughout our church - a pleasant surprise from the n...ext generation. Question: As you look at the needs of our city such as food insecurity, are you moved to volunteer and give in order to make a difference? I sincerely wish that every Christ-follower had a commitment to make a difference in the world that was deep enough to impact their generosity. When Amplify Church took on the challenge of transforming from an aging, dying church into a healthy, multi-generational church, many people were inspired to take action. Some volunteered their time. Some gave sacrificially. Their generosity in volunteering and giving paved the way.
