Pittsburgh Public Theater is pleased to share with you a new film from our friends at the critically acclaimed Woolly Mammoth Theater in Washington, DC. When you buy a ticket to this extraordinary film event with code PPT, your purchase will benefit Pittsburgh Public Theater! So, pull up a couch, relax, and enjoy Animal Wisdom. Link to purchase (use code PPT): https://bit.ly/PPTAnimalWisdom Do you believe in ghosts? Take a virtual front row seat for this original film of the ...acclaimed musical séance, Animal Wisdom, where singer-songwriter-soothsayer Heather Christian lays to rest the souls that haunt her. Christian shapeshifts between rock star, folklorist and high priestess as she conjures a constellation of souls in an effort to confront her family’s mythologies. With raucous, ferocious music that fuses blues, gospel and folk, Heather Christian invites you to raise a glass to the unseen forces that shape our lives. Adapted from the stage production that had a sold-out and acclaimed run at The Bushwick Starr, Animal Wisdom offers a transporting experience where a concert becomes a mass, and a mass becomes a séance, all in your living room.

New Year's Resolution #2: Enjoy as much PLAYTIME as you can this year! Here's an idea - TJ Young's [loose] adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' "The Three Musketeers" brings LOTS of laughs to Public PlayTime January 21-24. Click to donate for access here: https://bit.ly/PPTInseparables About the Show: United they stand, divided they fall off the stage.... The North American Unified Theatre Collaborators of the West really want to put on a show. Like, really bad. Step 1: Pick something that’s in the public domain so they don’t have to pay to produce it. They choose none other than Alexandre Dumas’ swashbuckling adventure The Three Musketeers. Step 2: READ IT. Unfortunately, it’s clear on day one of rehearsal that the only pieces of this 700-page masterpiece that the cast picked up on were its iconic catchphrases. But the show must go on, right? "Along with our smart and tireless staff, these artists were the lights that lit the way forward for me through this unexpectedly dark year. That is what the arts do, remind us of ourselves. Of our strengths and humor and of our strange, wonderful need to love. Each of these creators lit up 2020 with their imaginations and talent and ensure that the future will be bright." -Marya Sea Kaminski Here's to our Pittsburgh Public Theater family, including YOU. Happy New Year, everyone!!! #PlayTimeClassof2020

More about this incredible play: REDUX, a new play by Rob Zellers (The Chief, Harry’s Friendly Service), sets the stage for the long-overdue reunion of Vietnam Wa...r veterans John and Chuck. Even after 45 years of not seeing one another, they fall right back into their old rhythms of bolstering and battering one another with memories and inside jokes. On this day though, they fight to figure out how to contend with formidable changes in their lives, as they share the drinks over a weekend in Chuck’s Mississippi homestead. Trauma and truce are triggered as they test the bond they formed in the jungles of Southeast Asia all those years ago. The cast features Pittsburgh Public Theater "veterans" Eugene Lee, Cotter Smith, Alison Weisgall, and Rami Margron; and Tyler Layton in her Pittsburgh Public Theater debut.
