The holiday season reminds us of the universal light within each of us. The oneness that we share. This light has the feeling tone of peace and joy. Yet some of us get so caught up in images of perfection to have the perfect looking home, gift wrapping, tree, table setting, clothes and parties; instead of peace and joy, we feel stress. Can we experience loving kindness and serve others well without the social pressure of how everything should look? Of course. Sometimes we j...ust need to remember to slow down and nurture ourselves too, to find this balance. Out of this stillness arises love. Happy Holy Days! www.plashayoga.com/classes #plashayoga

The Winter Solstice represents the transition from darkness to light. Knowing the days will be getting longer can bring us hope, however distant. Winter is a time for hibernation; for nesting and resting and for contemplating and hatching new goals. It is a time to set intentions and make the resulting changes to explore exciting and meaningful possibilities in our lives. First, we examine the past and learn from it to let go of the habits that are holding us back and to em...brace the tendencies that have always said a resounding, YES to our highest aspirations. The yes voice moves us onward and forward. It is a time of regeneration, renewal and self-reflection. It is a time to move into stillness and be in stillness when we move. Let’s tap into the stillness of the season even when holiday preparations may become frantic. What arises from stillness? The pandemic is teaching me increased solitude has many gifts. It is not a denial of myself; it is a cosmic hug to deepen intimacy with my Self! I balance this solitude with the joy of being with you on Zoom or in the studio in a meaningful way. I am deeply grateful you want to share your practices with me. During this time of darkness and cold, how can your practice energize you and sustain you in the months ahead? www.plashayoga.com/classes #plashayoga #wintersolstice
