At 0652 this am May 24,2021 PMES Fire and Ambulance were dispatched for a two vehicle MVA with entrapment at the corner of Pleasant view drive and Great Bend Turnpike. A second Bls rig was requested out of Forest City. Engine 28-1 arrived on scene to find the two vehicles side by side, nose into the embankment. The two had collided resulting in one vehicle striking the other vehicle directly at the driver's door, penetrating the compartment by at least 15 inches. One driv...er was uninjured, the driver of the other vehicle was unconscious, but came to and self extricated. PMES EMTs Robert Muller and Joe Bachtel arrived on scene via pov and initiated pt care. Ambulance 28-3 arrived on scene with EMS Captain Dave Magliacane and driver Dave Compton. Pt one was packaged and assited to the stretcher. Forest City ambulance arrive on scene to take over treatment of patient two. Cottage Hose ALS arrived on scene to treat patient one who was transported in 28-3, emergent to GCMC trauma center. The combination of warm temperatures, gusty winds, and low humidity will make for favorable conditions for fire ignition and fire spread Monday afternoon into the early evening. On Tuesday, relative humidity is expected to be lower, around 15 to 25 percent, though winds will not be as gusty with peak gusts around 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Really enjoyed seeing the members of Clifford and Union Dale last night. We were excited to see the heavy rescue ...thankful that such an equipped truck is at a neighboring company. Big Foot still responds to many calls and performs perfectly in spite of its age ...glad we have it. Thanks to all who attended.

Structure fire at Red Schoolhouse today, thanks for all the departments that helped us out. No injuries thankfully.

Bidding a fond farewell to our friends and dedicated volunteers, Eric and Lisa Bonne. Eric and Lisa have decided to move south to warmer weather where they can take advantage of the outdoor activities that they enjoy so much. Eric and Lisa came to PMES in the fall of 2009. Eric had been a volunteer fire fighter and EMT in their previous home town of Merrick Long Island. Lisa had just retired her lieutenant position from NYPD. Eric immediately joined PMES, volunteering as ...a Fire fighter and an EMT and contributed his skills and compassion to the residents of Pleasant Mount, Herrick and Lebanon townships. Lisa also came on board and served as company secretary and took on the arduous task of medical billing, as well as contributing her expansive culinary skills to our many fund raisers. Eric was appointed as an assistant chief and later served as Company president. They opened their door and their hearts to our community, and always gave 110%. Their common sense, good nature and sense of humor made them a favorite in everyone’s book. As Eric and Lisa start a new chapter in their lives, we wish them the best of Love, luck and friendships. Their love to travel, explore and experience all that life has to offer, will lead them to new places and friends. We will always remember them as our friends from Pleasant Mount.
