2020 Boro Christmas Ornaments are now available at the Plum Municipal Building - $5.00 - cash or check made payable to Plum Boro
Due to the rise in infection rates and the State and County guidance on public events, Christmas at Plum Creek 2020 has been canceled. We are sorry and we hope to be back next year with an even bigger and better event.
Recently a private Facebook post reported that Plum Boro will be providing a "Police Escort" for a political parade/rally scheduled to take place this weekend. This is not true. As with any large gathering or event, the Plum Police Department will be on scene to ensure the public safety for all motorists, but there will be no official escort of the parade. Plum Boro does not endorse any political candidates and the Boro does not participate in any political events beyond our mission of general public safety.

Many residents have contacted us regarding Trick-or-Treat for 2020. Halloween is not a Boro event. It is a holiday celebrated on October 31st. In recognition of the holiday tradition of trick-or-treat on Halloween, the Boro has always scheduled additional emergency personnel (police, fire and EMS) for that evening and promoted safety through community alerts; but it is not an event planned or managed by the Boro. At this time, the Boro is still anticipating providing the additional public safety personnel for trick-or treaters on Saturday, October 31st from 6pm to 8pm. If changes are mandated by the State or Federal governments regarding this holiday, we will inform the residents via social media and the SavvyCitizen alert system.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PADOT) recently informed the Boro that the bridge/culvert crossing at the intersection of Malabar and Pine Valley Drives is to be closed due to erosion of the steel culvert liner. The intersection will remain closed until a suitable repair or reconstruction solution can be determined. Effective noon on October 9th, the intersection will be closed indefinitely. An end-time for the closure is not known at this time. The Boro is working with PADOT to determine a suitable solution to repair or replace the bridge/culvert crossing.
