The enhanced Pennsylvania Move Over Law (Act 105 of 2020) goes into effect today, April 27, 2021. It requires drivers approaching an emergency scene, who are unable to safely merge into a lane further away from the response area, to slow to at least 20 mph less than the posted speed limit. An emergency response area is where an emergency vehicle has its lights flashing, or where road crews or emergency responders have lighted flares, posted signs, or try to warn travelers.... In a year filled with uncertainty, Po-Mar-Line Fire Company is thrilled to have been able to continue our yearly Santa trip. Today we were able to take out six trucks with fourteen volunteers safely spread out to bring Santa to our community. While taking Santa out we saw so much... We saw joy and surprise, excitement and laughter. We saw you waving, running, dancing and even blowing kisses. We saw you in your yards, on your doorsteps and at your windows. We saw you da...ncing and laughing. We heard your claps, cheers and laughters. We felt your excitement and joy as we drove through the community and it let us know we made the right decision for all of you. Please share your pictures with us on Facebook. Have a safe, happy and healthy holiday season!

To all Newlin Township and surrounding area residents, the recent boom heard throughout the area was not a pipeline explosion or hazmat incident. The situation is under control after Po-Mar-Lin units found a bonfire lit in an unorthodox manner. All units have cleared the scene.

Engine 36, Tanker 36, and Utility 36 with 10 volunteers are out on this very cold night assisting the Avondale Fire Company with haybales. These fires take a lot of time, effort, and water to fully extinguish. It’s going to be a long night for all companies involved. #pmlproud #pmlfc

In the early morning hours of November 15, 1972 the Kennett Square Police Department lost two members of our family. The Kennett Square Police Department once ...again asks everyone to please take a moment of silence to remember the 48th year anniversary since Patrolmen William W. Davis and Richard J. Posey were slain in the line of duty. They gave their lives while serving the Borough of Kennett Square. God bless them and their families for their sacrifice. Another year has come to pass but we will never forget, we will continue to remember and honor these officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Chief William T. Holdsworth Kennett Square Police Department
