NEW WORKSHOP THIS JUNE!!! EVERYONE WELCOME!!! Conflict is a reality in any relationship. Whether it be our family, our work environment, leisure settings, our church, or even in our faith development - conflict happens! The Bible, and modeling ourselves after Jesus, sets the standard for how Christ-followers are to manage, and to respond to any conflict. As a United Methodist pastor for 30+ years, and as a district superintendent, conflict is something to which Rev. Pat Nel...son is no stranger. Rev. Nelson will be sharing a 2 hour workshop to provide you with some basic tools and tips, as well as resources and recommendations, to assist you when you are faced with conflict in your life. We have tremendous purpose in this life. God created you for a reason and has a plan for your life. We are not here by accident and no matter where you are (school, work, with family) there is purpose in why God has you there. Your life has worth that is God-given!

If you are ready to learn real strategies on how you can address conflict in positive ways, then mark your calendar and plan to attend this workshop!

A very big thank you to Eden Park Roller Rink for hosting our youth group, God Squad, last Sunday for our Valentine’s Party! The kids had a blast, the food was great, and the owners are accommodating and phenomenal! Thank you so much!!

The movie Selma chronicles the tumultuous three-month period in 1965 when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led a campaign to secure equal voting rights in the face of violent opposition. Have you seen the movie? If not, we encourage you to watch it. Then after you finish watching it, discuss some of the issues raised in the movie with other United Methodists or Christians in any denomination. Planning ahead Our Port Vue United Methodist Church Christian Preschool will start registration for the 2021-2022 school year later this spring. Your child must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1st to qualify for the programs. All details for registration and classes will follow. Stay tuned. The Port Vue United Methodist church youth group, God squad, still has a few openings for our pre-order cookie tin sale! In lieu of our annual cookie walk, we are selling packaged tins of Christmas cookies. Large tin is $10.00 and contains approximately 3 dozen, medium tin is $8.00 and contains approximately 2 dozen, and small tin is $5.00 and contains 1 dozen. Best prices in town!... Each tin contains an assortment of cookies with lady locks included! We are still accepting a small amount of pre-orders! To pre-order your tin please call/text Jen at (412) 916-6966. Tin pick up will be at the church on Sunday, December 20 from 11 am to 12 pm.
