LAST CALL. ONE DRIVER STILL NEEDED FOR OUR STOCK CAR, AGE 7-10. In search of a driver aged 7 to 16 for our stock and super stock soap box cars in the Pottstown Soap Box Derby this June. The Elks pays all entry fees but the driver and family must commit to working with Elks volunteers setting up the car, reporting for weigh-in/inspection, practice and race day moving the car in and out of the pits. Lodge COVID Announcement December 7, 2020 Good day. We hope you are all doing well during this time. I wanted to provide an update on Lodge status. The individual who notified us that they may have contracted COVID has indeed tested positive for it. They are taking the appropriate measures to protect themselves and others while they are in isolation at home. We were given this information Sunday evening. We wish them well and pray for a quick and complete recovery. I w...ant to personally Thank them for being forthcoming with the information when it was felt there could be an issue. On Saturday, several volunteers and Officers cleaned the Lodge. All surfaces were washed and sanitized. Floors were swept and mopped or vacuumed. All areas from the basement and bowling alley including the kitchen, Lounge, Regency Room and foyer were fogged and sanitized. There will be another fogging done Wednesday evening as well prior to re-opening on Thursday. I want to say Thank you to the volunteers who took the time to come help get us ready for opening the doors. It was a bit of work and I greatly appreciate the time and energy spent towards it. We will be opening on Thursday, December 10th for Burger Night and Trivia hosted by our own MC Larry Hoffman, Jr. Come on out and enjoy the evening! We are ready and excited! Hope to see you there! Please note: I have to again re-enforce some things If you are sick, please stay home. You will be missed but keep your fellow members in mind and make a decision that supports everyone’s best interests. If there are any concerns about coming in, please go with your gut. The last thing we want is for someone to stress out about coming in. Don’t be torn. Come in when you feel you can with as little stress to yourselves.
