From the American Physical Therapy Association: No one wants to live with pain. But no one should put their health at risk in an effort to be pain free. Physician prescribed opioids are appropriate in some cases, but they just mask the pain. Opioid risk include depression, overdose, addiction and possible withdrawal symptoms when stopping use. Physical Therapists treat pain through hands-on care, movement, patient education and by increasing your ability to be physically active. When it comes to your health, YOU HAVE A CHOICE! Choose movement and better health. CHOOSE PHYSICAL THERAPY!

Patti and I spent this past weekend assisting the wonderful Molly McMillan, OT, teach the John F Barnes Myofascial Release class: FASCIAL PELVIS here in Pittsburgh. I can only speak for myself but I certainly had a great time working with new students of this powerful work as well as with the more experienced therapists retaking the class to deepen their the skills and knowledge. On another front, we are proud to announce that on November 9th and 10th of this year, we wi...ll be hosting the Rocktape Movement Assesment Certification class. This 2 day class will provide attendees with an integrated strategy for movement assessment, correction and programming. This is a new class and if you are someone who helps people to move better you don't want to miss it. See more
