Praying for Biden

Heavenly Father, let us not become complacent in prayers for the leaders of our country and the world. Thank you for placing President Biden and VP Harris in office. Please help them to right many wrongs committed by the previous administration. Please help US to remember that they too are merely human, not demi-gods and can make mistakes and misjudgments. So fill them with your Holy Spirit so that they can make wise and good judgments . Thank You that #PresidentBiden ha...s a desire to work with ALL elected officials, not just democrats. Help him discern when to negotiate and when to push forward. Today, as the impeachment trial begins, I pray that you would fill each of those involved, who are your children, with Your Holy Spirit. Guide lawyers, judges, elected officials. Lord, we believe that sin must have consequences. And EVEN IF D.Trump is a "baby Christian", that he must be held accountable for his actions, both on January 6th and for the years leading up to January 6th. Lord, YOU CAN open the eyes of a sociopath to the need for salvation through Jesus Christ, but ONLY YOU can do so. So, we pray for the salvation of every one of our elected officials, whether or not we like them. But at the same time, we ask that You would "guide the heart of the king" or in our case, the currently elected officials to do what is in the best interest of our country. Do not let those who stormed the capital, nor those who incited others to do so, get away without repercussions. We ask that justice would come down on DTrump, DTrump Jr. Giuliani, and all those who continue to stir up hatred and fear based on lies. Lord, reveal the truth to your children who have been swept up in these lies! Rescue them from the cult of Q. Heavenly Father, our hearts are heavy about these things. Give us JOY in knowing YOU and in being citizens of an eternal kingdom where your perfect Son reigns with mercy and grace, in LOVE for us your Children. Jesus, we need your Holy Spirit to rise up and fill the hearts and minds of Your children! We live in such toxic times. God, President Biden ran on a platform of bridge building, taking educated ACTION, and putting the good of American people above his own gain. Please, guide him as he has been presented with the first real opportunity for bi-partisanship, as moderate Republicans have come to the table to negotiate a Covid-relief package. Please give him wisdom to know ho...w to proceed and who to trust. Please give ALL those involved, the willingness to NEGOTIATE and come to a mutually agreeable bill that will be signed by democrats AND republicans. This will set precedent for future opportunities for people to work together across party lines for what is TRULY best for the majority of Americans and not just the 1 or 2% who make the most money and traditionally influence politicians with threats that their $$ can buy. Jesus, fill all those who know you with your Spirit: Elected officials and those who advise elected officials. Anyone involved with the House, Senate and President who are Christ followers, remind them to bend knee and seek your counsel. Remind them to humble themselves and ask for YOUR guidance, not only in a regular way but in an abundance for such a time as this. Lord, this weighs heavy on our hearts. Heavenly Father, ignite our hearts with love. Help all of your children to love our brothers and sisters with different political convictions. God, help us to worship YOU, not ANY president, political party, or ideology. For the thousands, even millions of your children who are putting politics or a celebrity politician ahead of You, ahead of love, forgive them. And forgive ME when *I* do so! Heavenly Father we lift up all of our elected officials, past and present. Fo...r those who call themselves by Jesus' name, awaken Your Holy Spirit in them! Help them to remember that they serve YOU first, and give them discernment and wisdom about how to serve their constituents, and this country. Remind elected officials that they are PUBLIC SERVANTS. The job they hold should be done with integrity, not power grabs. God, expose the liars and have them taken down by legal means and/or by elections! God those who spread lies are evil in your sight. The one who leads another into a trap is twice condemned! The follower is guilty for their decision to follow in sin, but the leader is guilty for his own sin and for the sin of those who follow him! Heavenly Father, Today we want to lift up VP Harris, in particular. Not just because she is the first woman, and the first person of color in her role, but because President Biden has openly stated that SHE will be his 'final word' on matters. He is looking to her for insight and counsel. At times they will disagree, at times she'll push him in the direction he's already headed, but in all things, please give them wisdom and insight that cannot come from a singular vantage... point. If they argue, give them clarity and perpetual love in spite of differing opinions. If they agree, let it be because YOU are guiding them. And above all, help them to recognize and rely on YOUR HOLY SPIRIT to guide them. For You've promised to guide us if we will listen. Lord, Kamala Harris was raised under your teaching in a Baptist church, and still attends Baptist church to this day. She claims to be your daughter, so we affirm that. Please help her to grow in her relationship with You during her time in office as VP. Help her to see Jesus not just a a leader, or good moral teacher, but The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Help her to carve time with YOU daily, so that her time in service is most beneficial. Jesus, thank you for your blood that saves us. Thank you that it is entirely sufficient and we need add NOTHING to it. Your blood covers us and because of that, we can enter God the Father's throne room - HIS Oval Office, as children, not strangers or slaves, or guilty prisoners. Thank You for your love.
