Please post this for me: POCONO SUMMIT AREA: Yesterday I was told about a small brown dog that sadly was deceased on the side of the road. The doggie was on Long Pond Road between Rt 940 & Sullivan Trail.... I brought him/her to the vet but no microchip or collar was found. If anyone knows someone missing a small brown, long hair, maybe a terrier breed please let me know. Want to find the owners. See more

Anyone in the Long Pond/Pocono Summit Area lost a Dog.

Today we are excited to officially announce that St. Mary’s of the Mount Church and Rectory off of Fairview Ave. in Mt Pocono PA will become the new permanent h...ome of American Legion Post 903. The property will officially be known as the "The Thomas Bowditch Veteran Education Center and Museum" named after our late Commander Thomas Bowditch. The Church will be turned into a Veterans museum displaying various U.S military equipment from various era's and conflicts with a café and hall in the basement. The rectory will become the official home of American Legion Post 903 & Monroe County Joint Veterans Honor Guard with office space for various local veteran organization's. Both property's will require a substantial amount of work and funding to get them up and running. Currently our Post Adjutant who makes rustic American Flags from old pallets has graciously offered to gift any individual who makes a donation of $1000 or more with one of his flags. We'll accept any monetary donation, No donation is to small. There's a big snow event coming to our area. Please adopt a fire hydrant and clean an area around it at least 3 feet in either direction. This will save the Fire Department precious seconds if YOUR home is on fire.
