On Saturday June 26, Mill Dam Club will host its annual 4th of July fireworks show. The show is scheduled to begin at approximately 9 pm and is expected to last about half an hour. Please note the following road closures which may impact traffic: West Wayne Avenue in front of the elementary school from 2 pm to approximately 10 pm... Maplewood Avenue from Mill Dam entrance to the rear entrance of the elementary school from 7 pm to approximately 10 pm The fireworks will be viewable from many surrounding neighborhoods. Please enjoy the show if you are in a viewing area and please be prepared to hear the louds sounds associated with fireworks displays. Should there be any specific concerns or questions related to traffic or public safety during the event, please contact the Radnor Township Police Department at 610.688.0503.
North Wayne Avenue Pedestrian Safety Project Begins Friday, June 25, 2021 Radnor Township is pleased to announce the start of the North Wayne Avenue Pedestrian Safety Project. This project entails the installation of approximately 650 linear feet of sidewalk on North Wayne Avenue, from Woodsworth Court to Eagle Road. The project will provide a safe route for pedestrians along this busily travelled section of North Wayne Avenue. The project includes pedestrian signals at Nort...h Wayne Avenue and Eagle Road as well as ADA curb ramps. An added benefit of the project is increased connectivity to downtown Wayne, as there will now be sidewalks from Woodsworth Court to the center of Wayne. The project duration is approximately 90 days (weather permitting). There will be lane restrictions Monday through Friday. 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Depending on the schedule, there may be intermittent work on Saturdays. Please allow extra travel time if you use this route. Questions? There will be a Community Development Standing Committee meeting held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 6:30 PM via Zoom and streamed live on the Radnor Township YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvh6jeMQTvo3ojCTh8wZkbA. The purpose of meeting is to discuss the Fenimore Woods Park Renovations Project. After heavy storms earlier this week, tree debris has littered some areas in and around Bo Connor Park. Emergency cleanup will take place on Thursday, June 17 from 7:30AM - 4:30PM. Cleanup crews will be working in the park throughout the day until the debris has been cleared. The park will remain open but please use caution in and around the area.
