The staff is busy today giving COVID tests today at the care home. Our staff is the best!!!

Due to the increase in cases in Bedford County and the increase of cases in other facilities in Bedford, Rebecca's is now choosing to shut down the home to visitation once again. We do not want to do this, however in regards to our residents wellbeing, we feel that this is the best decision at this time. Residents of Rebecca's that are able to walk downtown will still be able to do so, however will not be permitted to go into stores and so fourth. We do not want to restri...ct our residents from everything and will encourage our residents to get outside in the fresh air as much as possible. During this period, we will be taking the time to thoroughly clean and sanitize every room within the home. Staff are mandated to wear masks and they check their temperature before each shift and also are to let management know of any travel to large populated areas. We are please to inform Families and Friends that we will beginning to open for indoor visitations. Working with the state we have completed phase one of reopening and are currently in phase two. This allows residents to have visitations inside and allow residents to visit families at home with proper precautions. In order to have these restrictions lifted we have to follow very strict protocol which include mask wearing for outings and proper hand washing techniques. Please ...call ahead for visitations as only a certain number of families members can visit at a time. Visitation hours are from 10:30 to 12:30 and 3:00 to 5:30. Mask must be worn at these times and social distancing must be maintained. If at any point there are COVID-19 symptoms from residents or staff visitation will cease until furthermore. This is a reminder that Rebecca's is once again limiting visitation to the courtyard through the windows only. As soon as we get word that the number of Corona cases are decreasing, we will again proceed with limited in person visitation. We are sorry for this inconvenience however we feel its the best decision to keep everyone safe.

Families and friends of residents of Rebecca's Personal Care Home. Due to increase in Covid 19 cases in the county, we have decided to stop all visitation to the home once again. We are taking all precautions and sanitizing daily, however we feel at this time this is the best course of action. Residents will also be restricted from leaving the home at this time unless for medical reasons. Families are permitted to visit at the windows in the courtyard.

The time has finally come!!! We are now permitted to allow RESTRICTED visitation to the home. A policy has been created to allow families into the home on a limited basis to visit with their families. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE CARE ABOUT OUR RESIDENTS. IF YOU ARE SICK OR ARE JUST NOT FEELING WELL IN GENERAL, STAY HOME. The policy is as follows and will take effect on Wednesday the 16th. of June; *Visiting hours are only from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and from ... 2:00 to 5:00 pm. *Visitors must call ahead to say when they are planning to visit. *Visitors must enter from the front lower door. *Visitors must sanitize, wear a mask and take their temperature and sign in on the form and then go directly to the back dining room. *Visitors must maintain social distancing of 6 feet from the residents and others. *There is only 2 visitors permitted at any one visit. *Outside visits are encouraged and will only be permitted in the courtyard area. Social distancing must still be in effect and again everyone must enter through the front door and sign in and enter the courtyard through the back dining room. Thank you for your patience through all this.

Please use caution this week if visiting your loved one in the courtyard of the carehome. We will re-doing all of the flower beds around the home.

Cleaning of common areas, laundry, assisting residents with any needs that they may have, assisting residents with morning hygiene, etc,

Finally the county is going green!!! Unfortunately, that does not change anything at the care home. We have been in contact with the state today and as of now we will still be restricting visitation to the home per state guidelines. We are sorry to have to tell families this and we were hoping to at least have limited visitation. Please watch this page for additional information to follow. Also when this is all over, Rebecca's will be having a family picnic in the courtyard. Of course we will probably be limiting guests to immediate family, however our residents are in need of their families right now so we are planning this for as soon as they lift the restriction. Hats off to our cook "Bub" today. The meatball subs were excellent!!! I dont get to eat at the home often but im glad it was today.

Rebecca's residents and staff would like to say happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there. Since the weather will be nice tomorrow, we will be setting up our courtyard at the care home for visitation with your loved ones. We have space for about five to six different families at one time to visit through the windows with their loved ones. You do not have to call the home, simply go to the courtyard and ring the doorbell and the staff will greet you and then have your loved one come to a designated window. I wish we could do more at this time, however we are still mandated by the state to have no visitation.
