It was a quiet and slightly eerie night at the theater. On a typical December 24th we would serve about 2,000 people. Today the number was zero. Even still, I w...as thinking of all the things we have to be grateful for including countless memories and laughs. Then, as I walked out, it was raining. A great dramatic rain. A cinematic rain, if you will. The kind where you can see sheets of it blowing past. As you probably know, rain is often used in movies and storytelling to represent rebirth, renewal or moving on. So I was struck as I stood in the rain looking at this beautiful building with the message of hope in our window, I was thinking ahead to the bright future that awaits us all. We're moving on. I find it so incredibly appropriate that in this season of hope and faith, we would enjoy the refreshing rain like Andy Dufresne at the end of Shawshank Redemption. I'm ready to emerge from this year that we all just crawled through and excited to see what lies ahead! In the meantime, enjoy this time with your families, reflect on the good and we'll look forward to seeing you in January. Wishing you a peaceful holiday filled with love and laughter. Our mission from the beginning was to give a physical experience to filmmakers and the community of Lancaster. Our goal was always for filmmakers locally and globally to share their unique visions that would create an impact in the most traditional sense of movie going and support of small business.
