Hopefully a massage will be on that list!
Hello my friends. As you all know by now we will not be enjoying each other's company for a few weeks. Please know that I am missing each and every one of you and our awesome therapeutic sessions. Please take this time to do the things that you love, slow down a bit and breathe in fresh air while absorbing the glorious sunshine. Birds are chirping, listen to them. The trees and grass are budding and getting greener, take notice. Flowers are blooming. Take it all in and find peace in these troubling times. Man are we all going to have a LOT to talk about when we meet again. Love you all.
Hopefully a massage will be on that list!
A gentle invitation to practice loving kindness. It's natural to experience feelings of disempowerment at this time. One way to reclaim your power is to remembe...r that social distancing is a collective action to keep each other safe. You are doing something great simply by staying home. And for the people who have no choice to go out in the world (like the grocery store workers, the nurses, and the doctors), we honor your service and want to keep you safe too. We can embody this compassion by meditating on the following words: May everyone be happy. May everyone be healthy. May everyone be safe. May everyone feel connected. If you need extra mindfulness support, please find free resources here: http://calm.com/take-a-deep-breath
In an abundance of caution and with care for the well-being of all those in the community we serve, we have decided to postpone our Try On Days (March 14 & 21) ...at this time. Due to the nature of the project and close proximity it requires of volunteers and attendees, we feel this is best. Our hopes are to reschedule for dates at a later time, that will be determined in monitoring the situation over the next few weeks. We will share information via this page, to the schools, and local media if new dates are determined. We ask for your patience in this as well, please refrain from direct messaging and contacting the YWCA asking to receive a dress, we will not be taking individual appointments at this time. If we move to that approach we will let you know but as of right now our hopes are to fully reschedule prior to the prom season, if appropriate. Please help us get the word out by sharing this message and letting contacts you may have in local schools know. We greatly appreciate your understanding and will keep you posted. Thank you! - Megan Seese Livingston Cinderella Project Founder/Coordinator
