After much thought and consideration we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close RK for the winter. We continue to wrestle with the idea is indoor public dining even a safe activity during a pandemic? and our reality is that we have a small indoor dining space where the perfect evening is spent lingering in laughter and conversation over a long meal. This coupled with occupancy restrictions and winter quickly approaching has led us to make what we feel is the r...ight decision for right now. During our closure we will be heading back out to work in Colorado. Quintin will be returning to @splendidorestaurant a four diamond restaurant nestled mountainside in @beavercreek to brush up on his skills with a great crew in a world class kitchen. I am back to vacation planning @vailvillagerentals and hopefully we’ll carve out a little time to get outside and play in the snow. Until then we have a few more weeks of takeout, Thursday’s in Reedsville and Wednesday’s @bigspringspirits where we’ll also be slang’n in the tasting room. We are so grateful for everyone that has supported us through this challenging time and we will miss each and everyone of you but, we will look forward to welcoming you back in the Spring. See more

Honey, I shrunk the squash... the honeynut squash might just be my favorite fall food find in PA, literally made for flavor. Check out the history if you’re into that sort of thing. Farmer Moses and I have been geeking out about this super special squash for years. Smaller, sweeter and packed with beta-carotene. The evolution of food and flavor is fascinating. Our version, an ode to Hearth restaurant in NYC will be on the takeout menu this week. Roasted, and topped with creamy ricotta cheese and Dukkah, a house blend of nut, seeds, and spices packing Egyptian flavor!

Legend has it that if you eat goose on September 29, also known as Saint Michaelmas Day, you will never want for money all the year round. Local restaurants add goose dinners to their menus while others put their special spin on unique recipes using the lucky bird... Our contribution: goose poops or delicate Parisian gnocchi with a rich chicken gravy, foie cream (there’s your goose), and crispy leeks. We’re slang’n this shit all night @shybearbrewing!
