Pennsylvania Dermatology Partners Offers Patients Telemedicine Service During COVID-19 Pandemic Douglassville, PA - March 20, 2020 -- Pennsylvania Dermatology P...artners (PDP) announced today that its telemedicine service is being offered at numerous locations throughout its regional network in an effort to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, and keep its patients and staff safe. "Telemedicine takes advantage of technology to see patients with non-emergency conditions in their home," said Andrew Frankel, COO of PDP. "People can use their devices to set up a virtual visit with one of our doctors to evaluate their symptoms, get treatment advice and, in some case, prescriptions." PDP is offering the telemedicine service at 10 of its offices. A smaller subset of PDP doctors is seeing patients who require more serious medical attention. In these cases, every effort is being made to ensure facilities are clean and safe for patients and staff. PDP has emptied waiting rooms of all magazines and nonessential items and sanitized them thoroughly, and has provided offices with sanitizing surface spray cleaners. This augments the current hand sanitizers and microbial wipes that are already in use. "In light of the coronavirus concerns, and because our top priority is always the health and safety of our patients and team members, we have implemented and are proposing safety guidelines based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other specialized health agencies," said Frankel. PDPs proactive response to the crisis extends to its administrative teams including customer service and billing. The company has implemented work-from-home policies to further assist with its patients needs and questions. "We are closely following the latest guidance from the CDC, the local government, and public health agencies, and doing everything we can to serve our patients safely and effectively." For further information on PDPs telemedicine service, or to schedule an appointment, call 610-288-2908.
