: @_ ? It’s a place of connection. When I walk through those doors, a sense of relief comes over me. I know I’m walking in to the best environment surrounded by quality people & good music! Besides all that, the actual workout itself is low-impact & full body.... ? Restore. I LOVE low stroke rates and finding mental connection. Putting the world aside and taking the time to listen to my body. ? Dead bugs, mostly because I’m a core freak and EVERY body can accomplish a burn. ? It’s my escape. All my life I have been active. My parents always wanted me to be in the medical field, you’ll never not have a job they said. But I could never see myself putting on scrubs everyday etc. I wanted to help others in some other way. So here I am, doing what I love, helping others around me. Fitness is a medicine. If you believe that, you’ll be in the best shape of your life. ? I believe I’ve grown mentally. Coming out of college, I believed I knew everything. Ever since I’ve surrounded myself with good people and row house, I think & speak more positively. & ? Give it TIME. NO ONE can row correctly after a week of class. I’ve been rowing for almost 2 years now, and I’m STILL working on my form. Take it slow, S.M.A.R.T. : I keep a journal. Other than exercise, it’s how I relieve stress and anxiety. When I just can’t understand my thoughts, I write them down & I find it best to do after I wake up. : I’m a crafty/artsy person. I like to build things out of wood and paint. I also LOVE to bake. #thosewhoknowrow #pulltogether #wedothis #rowfam See more

: @_ ? In the boat the individual becomes part of the whole. The camaraderie in the "boat is the community we strive for on land.... ? Power - the class is the perfect balance of crazy and focused energy. I love when the members have the a-ha moment of power isn’t scary. The moment only comes because they’ve realized how to generate power and that realization is an amazing part of their fitness journey. ? Squats. Gaining strength in our squat (hamstrings and quads) allows us to deliver a more powerful drive on the rower intern making our workout more challenging. We always move with purpose and intention. ? My passion for wanting people to see their strength, both mental and physical, beyond their imagination. It’s fun to turn our dreams into reality. ? As a fitness coach I’ve been able to challenge my body, but also my mind and that is most rewarding. Most often, the mind creates the barriers that you physically endure and when you can push your body over the limits of the mind, that is powerful. & ? Have an open mind and be willing to feel unsure in yourself (it’s only temporary). You’ll be shocked in how you gROW and how you encourage your team. : The alarm going off and me rolling over to hit the snooze button. Once I’mmoving at sloth speed it is time for coffee. Did I say coffee?! (I’m not much of a morning go-er...trying to find me in a 5:30am class is like playing a game of Where’s Waldo) : I’m pretty much an open book...but, with that being said, I do aspire to be a professional sports mascot. I’ve always wanted to be a clown in the circus too! #thosewhoknowrow #pulltogether #wedothis #rowfam See more

: @joy_fit412 ? I love Row House because of the members, the workout, and the love of the sport of rowing.... ? Honestly, I change my mind once I have the opportunity to teach a class I have not taught in a while....right now, I'm a big Power class lover! But of course my heart is always with Restore! ? Squats, squats and more squats ? As a huge believer of the physical and emotional benefits of group fitness, I wanted the opportunity to help lead the charge. ? I hope I have grown emotionally by trying to understand and help members achieve their fitness goals. I also believe by being a part of their journeys and literally doing the work with them, that I too have physically become stronger. We are indeed stronger together. & ? Give yourself a few more classes if you are not sure it's for you! And never be afraid to try something new!! : Coffee. Starbucks. Always. : Well you already know I'm a Starbs junkie, but.....I am a bad TV junkie as well! (ie: 90 day fiance pillow talk.....!) #thosewhoknowrow #pulltogether #wedothis #rowfam #furthertogether See more

: @collrunner Checking in with Coach Colleen today so you can get to know her betters. She shared some of her favorite RHNH memories with us too! Check em out. ... ? I love Row House because of the tremendous sense of camaraderie & support. Our RH community doesn’t compete with each other, but are genuinely supportive of one another. ? That’s toss up for me between full row and power. I love all of the steady rowing in Full Row. I also dig the HIIT in Power where you get your heart rates high with the rowing, then jump off & hit the floor work just as hard. ? Shoulder presses, seated and/or standing, & any move working the triceps. Who doesn’t love toned arms & shoulders? ? A desire to help others feel the sense of accomplishment I feel after working out & wanting to help them crush their fitness & health goals fitness. ? I have grown as a coach so much from when I first started! I’ve become better at cueing, speaking more, encouraging more, and developing more one-on-one relationships with members in helping them reach their fitness goals. & ? Rowing is a fantastic low impact overall body workout. What’s even more awesome is you create the intensity based on your fitness level & working within your comfort level. : A workout first thing, before caffeine, no matter how I feel, for about 90 minutes. I’ll spin, row, lift weights, or interval train. As much as I probably should take a day of rest, I never do. It helps me mentally as well as physically prepare for my day. : I have a serious phobia of tunnels! #coach #thosewhoknowrow #pulltogether #wedothis #rowfam #furthertogether #rhnh See more

: @ ? The focus on teamwork & togetherness makes RH so special to me. I feel stronger & more capable than I ever could alone when I am with my crew inside the boat! Not to mention rowing is the best cardio EVER.... ? Restore. From a coaching perspective, restore lets me slow down & approach rowing from a completely zen mindset, opposed to a more intense approach in other class types. ? Plank shoulder taps! It works the core & causes those juicy shakes & allows people to find stability through strength. Aside from that, I LOVE hanging out in child's pose after some hard work. ? I really started to love going to group-fitness classes because of the sense of accountability it created within me & others. I had never coached before RH, but it looked super fun & a meaningful way to impact others, so when the opportunity to coach at RH came my way, I grabbed onto it without a second thought! ? I no longer focus on "getting it right," so much as listening to what people need during any given workout. Whether that means pushing them harder or letting them know it's okay to take an extra rest. & ? Lean into the discomfort!! Rowing takes time so let yourself learn & let your body adapt to a new way of moving. : COFFEE immediately! I usually start my day by making a cup of coffee (with ghee butter & coconut oil), study some Japanese, & then workout. I exercise my brain then body! : I dropped out of my first college (an acting major). After a couple of gap years, I am now an undergrad student at Pitt, pursuing a double major in Japanese & Psychology. #thosewhoknowrow #pulltogether #wedothis #rowfam #furthertogether See more
