Ghost light- a tradition surrounded by folklore amongst theatres where a single bulb on a pole is left on in the middle of the stage. It means that while the venue may be unoccupied now, this light stands in our place until we return. The Roxian Theatre is a reconstructed, 1929 vaudeville style theatre turned concert venue. Through the years it has been used as a theatre, movie house, night club, banquet hall, and now a venue. The ghost light represents us paying respect to the theatre’s rich history while lighting the way for its future and holding the torch for all of those in our industry. The ghost light is a sign that while we may be away for now, we shall return. stay healthy and safe, Pittsburgh
