Some uninformed nonsense has been posted on a local Facebook page about 446 Green Lane (the old flower shop on the corner of Green In and Mitchell St). We are pleased to have provided legal assistance to the neighbors in their united opposition to a commercial use and defeated the zoning proposal for a store. The first floor is now a residential apartment.

You may have seen this sign on the fence of our neighbor at 433 Green Lane. The ZBA vote was 3-1 in favor of a use variance for animal husbandry at their property, over our objections to the variance and against the recommendation of the City Planning Commission to deny the variance because that variance lowers the property values of the surrounding properties. Our sworn statement, which we read publicly into the record, will be posted on this site, for those interested in knowing the facts.

Twenty years ago, on Easter Sunday, Fr Sibel stood at the pulpit in St Mary's Church and said we (the lawyers and our clients) were "in league with the Evil One" because we opposed the Catholic Church in a zoning matter and we also sued them for environmental damage to their neighbor's properties. Zoning cases are always uncomfortable for someone; it's the nature of the adversarial process. No matter the heat nor unpopularity of the cause, we never back down.
