GIBBS Life Celebration Funeral Home is Prepared to Safely Care for Our Families During the COVID-19 Health Emergency While our nation continues to develop its response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), R.S.GIBBS Life Celebrations Funeral Home remains committed to providing the highest quality of care to families in their time of need. During this time of uncertainty, we want to assure you that providing for the safety of our community is our greatest priority and we a...re taking aggressive measures to protect the health of those we are privileged to serve. In accordance with the emergency protocols mandated by the State of Pennsylvania, the following precautions will be implemented to ensure the safety of our families, staff, and guests: Per CDC recommendations, no additional public viewings will be scheduled until further notice. Family and private viewings will continue as scheduled. Whenever possible, we will encourage families to limit public exposure by planning private services and/or limiting guest attendance. Funerals with an attendance of more than 10 persons will be prohibited. In order to provide safe seating, chapel services will be limited to 10 persons. Our staff remains vigilant in our efforts to sanitize our facilities and ensure compliance with recommended best practices such as: staying home when sick, washing our hands, and covering coughs and sneezes. We encourage those that wish to support the families we serve to practice social distancing and refrain from common forms of embrace to further prevent the spread of the virus within our community. We will continue to guide families, as we always have, in ways they can meaningfully commemorate the life of their loved one, while adhering to the guidance issued by federal, state, and local public health officials. Whenever possible, we will continue to enable families to plan the traditional services that are most important to them. We will continue to provide our families with updates as additional guidance from public health officials becomes available.
