RSS Downingtown woke up today winning.... We conducted a Squad competition and found out what pride of belonging really means... there after, we looked at what it takes to become and succeed, not only in the Marines Corps but in life.... We had a guest speak my fellow sqd leader in 2/2 Former Marine Sgt Bradley Friang speak via voice conference.... Sgt Friang was awarded a Navy commendation with combat valor for saving his navy Corpsmans life by exposing himself to accurate ...and sustained enemy fire with little regard to his one safety while deployed forward in Afghanistan.... Once he returned he was awarded another Navy Commendation for actions while conducting night training as a Special Operations Training Group instructor aboard a CH53E... The helicopter had catastrophic mechanical failure which caused it to crash..... Sgt Friang actions directly attributed to saving12 marines live while severely injured himself(award citations enclosed in pictures)...... These characters traitors are indicative of a Marine and of a leader.... During the open forum we discussed Charactor discipline, Physical discipline, and mental discipline. This disciplinary synergy is what makes Marines the most feared and revered warriors on earth.....
