Running Roan Farm

Dinner is served our first meal cooked with our home grown chickens proved to be absolutely delicious Creamy Mushroom Chicken with Bacon We used bacon from our last hogs we butchered and onions, mushrooms, and fresh garlic from Produce on Broadway

Our first batch of farm raised chickens is officially in the freezer (well, freezers ) Our largest Freedom Ranger weighed 7lbs 8oz and our average on 98 birds was 5lb 4oz And today- we pick up the next batch of 100 peeps

Today is the day! 12 weeks ago we brought home 102 teeny, tiny peeps. Today we butcher and will have our first home grown, farm fresh chicken to add to the freezer

Eggs for sale $2.50/dozen and currently have 4 dozen available

Some of our young chickens have decided the top of the ramp to the coop seems like a good place to spend this soggy day
