Almost 40 years ago there were only 3 active eagle nests left in Pennsylvania. Today there are well over 300. Thats something to be proud of!
I enjoy positive feedback as much as the next person. I've also been fortunate enough to have received more than my fair share. But, every once in a while you receive a comment that allows you to walk just a little bit taller and with the slightest hint of a strut, at least for the rest of the day. It makes all the preparation and effort seem weightless. Now, if you'll excusd me, I'm going to go contemplate patting myself on the back once more before bedtime. ;)
Something to think about now that "hard water" season is drwing to a close.
Some interesting new research focusing on wolf predation on beavers.
More public land in NEPA! A great public-private partnership project.
Disturbingly humorous! I'm working this in to the curriculum for my next class! :)
We are proud to be the largest tick lab in the USA! Thank you all for your continued support. We will always be here to help you, your family, and your pets. We are looking forward to 2021 to provide you all with more safety tips, information, and our tick testing services!
Sandcut Outdoors is now booking dates for private Wilderness and Remote First Aid/CPR classes for the first quarter of 2021. As always, groups that host a class that provide a classroom and a minimum of 8 students (the minimum necessary to run the class) will receive two complimentary spots in the class. This training is a must for mountain biking teams/clubs, hiking/climbing clubs, Volunteer Fire Departments/Search and Rescue units, oil and gas installations, logging operations, hunting clubs, Girl/Boy Scout Troops/Councils, or anyone else that works or plays in remote areas that are greater than 30 minutes from access to EMS (aka, most of rural PA). Contact Mike at 570)955-8391, or email [email protected] for more information. Please share with anyone you may know who could benefit from this training. Thx!
The Pennsylvania Chapter has been working on policy issues with a number of sportsmen’s organizations in Pennsylvania. Here’s a short video produced by TRCP abo...ut one property that was acquired and turned into public lands in large part through conservation funding from the state. Conservation funds are on the chopping block right now. Please take 5 minutes, check out the video and follow TRCP’s action alert. See more
