PA Weather Action has shared three scenarios for Wednesday's potential snowstorm. Two of them have most of the Lehigh Valley area in an impact zone labeled "Crippling" and one (less likely) scenario has it in a "Major" zone. Possible amounts will be shared later. In the meantime there will be a chance for some light snow on Monday, according to forecasters.

A spike in COVID-19 cases has resulted in the temporary closure of Saucon Valley High School for cleaning and disinfecting, it was announced Wednesday.
This story has additional information about the traffic problems--one related to an accident on I-78 and another because of a fallen tree on 378--that kept local first responders very busy Sunday.

A reader reports that the Rt. 412 ramp to I-78 west in Hellertown is closed and 78 west is 'a parking lot,' which is why local first responders are diverting traffic off the interstate via an emergency access road near Raders Lane and 378 in Lower Saucon Township. The traffic problems are reportedly due to an accident on the highway this evening in which a tractor-trailer overturned, spilling oil.

Friday night’s Saucon Valley football game was postponed late this afternoon, after a student at Saucon Valley High School tested positive for the novel coronavirus; the second student at the school to do so this week. The high school will be closed for five days beginning Saturday, Oct. 31.
