Do you have trouble falling asleep? If you're used to getting into bed with your laptop or sending out emails from your phone in bed, your brain may struggle to shut down. Experts say setting up a sleep ritual can help our minds wind down and prepare itself for sleep. Set an alarm for 30 minutes before bedtime to remind you to start preparing yourself for bed. Then step away from work, tell yourself whatever you didn't finish will still be there tomorrow, change into your pajamas and read a book to help your mind relax . I know it sounds simple and we've all heard it a million times before, but it can go a long way in getting you a good night's rest

Hi everyone - I’m sad to be informing you all that it looks like our stay at home orders have been extended through June 4th. While this isn’t what I was hoping to be posting about this evening, it does absolutely no good to be angry about it . The last thing anyone needs during this already stressful time is to increase our cortisol levels even more so. It’s critical to keep our immune systems healthy and strong by getting plenty of rest , fresh air , laughs with fami...ly and of course Pilates!!! Instead of focusing on the negatives, let’s all encourage one another to focus on what we do have control of...our attitudes and emotions It’s perfectly ok to be nervous, anxious, worried and stressed, but we will get through this even if coming out on the other side looks different than how we hoped or anticipated it would look . Please take time to appreciate each moment you have and don’t allow yourselves to get caught up in the negativity that’s spreading like wildfire. Self reflect, reevaluate and take the much needed time to continue working out virtually through #virtualsculpt It doesn’t cost anything to sign up and I promise you’ll feel 100x better for participating.
