Our Gem of a Weekend retreat was so much fun!!! Thanks to all who came!!

Some of the projects the ladies worked on who came for a retreat last weekend.

The only quilts I have to show you today are from Christmas morning. Somehow in the middle of the madness I managed to get these done for my kids. I also have ...some news about things that will be happening next year! I will be teaching a Technique class at Sew Special. It will be on the last Tuesday of every month at 11am. Each month I will demonstrate a different technique and tips on various ways to do the same technique. Each month you will get a free pattern that utilizes the technique. You can use these patterns to practice - maybe turn them into wall hangings or table toppers. Or you can save all the projects and at the end of the year they will fit together into a lap size quilt. I have been working hard this week on the samples. Some are shown in a picture below. Contact the shop for more details at 724-438-1765. I will continue to be at the Pine Tree Quilt Shop the Second Tuesday of every month from 11-12. And also The Quilt Patch on the 3rd Thursday each month from 11-12. I am switching Sew Special to the last Tuesday of the month from 10-10:45 (Since I will be there anyway for the Technique demo.) We had a group from the Rolling Thunder stay with us on their way to Washington DC from Michigan. They were a fun group!

Happy Birthday to Rick today! The ladies staying at Seams Like Home for a quilt retreat this week made Rick a chef's hat and apron and surprised him at breakfast this morning. Should he wear them when he makes his famous omelets?? What do you think?

Always a good time with these ladies!! And check out the quilt one of them made!! No fabric was used twice in the piecing. We want a fabric count!
