We hope that everyone had a great weekend enjoying the dogs days of summer! Today we’re catching up with our member of the month, Jen Solley Mumau. We asked Je...n What is the best advice you've ever received? The best advice I ever received was to do something that makes you happy or you will be miserable every day of your life. It is an amazing feeling to genuinely enjoy what it is that you do for a living and you can take pride in what it is that you do. As someone who works with families grieving the loss of a loved one every day, it is truly an amazing feeling when I get a note or a phone call from the customer saying that they loved how the monument that we worked on turned out and they couldn’t imagine it being any better. To know that I have helped that person get through one of the hardest times of their life brings me a happiness that cannot be explained. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! Normally we are limited to four Mondays in the month to feature one of our members, but August has five so be sure to stay tuned to our bonus Monday next week with Jen!

This month our featured member is Jen Mumau Solley of Shoemaker Monuments. This week we asked Jen What is your favorite part of the YPO? What are the benefits... to being involved with YPO? My favorite part of the YPO is getting to meet all of the people close to my age who are growing as professionals and trying to establish themselves in the field that they are in. The YPO makes networking so much easier because you have so much in common both professionally and personally with the people attending. One of the many benefits of being involved in the YPO would be all of the fun events that the YPO helps with or attends as well as the non-profit events that we get to help with. If you or someone you know is looking to join the YPO please contact the chamber office today. We will be planning some upcoming events, and look forward to seeing new and old faces!

We’re back with a new #MeetUsMonday! Last week, we introduced Jen Mumau Solley of Shoemaker Monuments Indiana, PA. This week we asked Jen where did you grow u...p, attend school? I grew up in Homer City, PA and attended Homer Center High School and then went to IUP to major in Small Business Management and Accounting. Growing up in Indiana County and choosing to continue my career and make my home here was an easy choice when looking at the opportunities that continue to pop up in Indiana County and the surrounding areas and knowing all of the wonderful people who live here. #MemberoftheMonth #YPO
