It's Meet the Staff Monday! Ever wanted to know a little bit more about your favorite Shriners Hospitals for Children - Philadelphia employee? Every other week, we hope to share a brief interview with a staff member that helps our hospital provide the best possible care for our patients. Say hello to Michelle, x-ray technologist from the Radiology Dept. How long have you worked at the Philadelphia Shriners Hospital? ... 4.5 years What is your favorite part of your job/day? I love seeing our patient’s progress, we see them from start to finish, and I love being part of that. I also love the connections we make with our patients. How would you spend your perfect day off? At the pool with my family! Tell us something that may surprise us about you. I LOVE country music and going to country concerts.

Her mother noted, "The therapies and surgery she received, in addition to the care given by nurses, OT/PT, and the entire staff have helped her live the dream of being a horseback rider."

Unattended cooking is the leading cause of home fires. Scald burns are the second leading cause of all burn injuries. Hot liquids from coffee and even microwaved soup can cause devastating injuries.
