The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has forced businesses to reevaluate their preparations for handling disruptions and disasters in light of a potential pandemic. When facing global pandemics, in our experience, several actions can help businesses of all kinds. First and foremost, Simpay’s goal is to be here for you and your merchants, both in the short-term and the long-term. To do so, we require rigor in both caring for our workforce and revisiting our disaster recovery protocols.... If we do neither, our ability to provide critical services to you are at risk. We are actively engaged in mitigating that risk. Simpay is monitoring daily important information from the CDC and WHO. We are cascading to all employees any new or vital information regarding outbreaks, preventative measures and anything else to guide us. We want to protect our employees. The COVID-19 crisis has been emotionally challenging for many people. For companies, business as usual is not an option. We have set up a cross-functional COVID-19 response team whose goal is, first and foremost, to protect employees, as well as offer other options to ensure timely service delivery to our merchants and to you. Work-from-home options and some other strategies can simultaneously do both. Ideally, we will provide the same level of services as we reduce the risk of exposure. And we will continue to identify any potential roadblocks that might limit the support you expect from Simpay so we can figure out how to eliminate the issue. We are also sending this update to all our customers, so they stay informed as well. We revisit our strategies daily to ensure we have a safe and healthy workforce that is able to minimize any potential disruption. As things develop, positive or negative, we will keep you up-to-date.
