THURSDAY, JANUARY 28, 7pm VIGIL MASS FOR LIFE FROM ST. PAUL CATHEDRAL. Bishop Zubik will celebrate a dioc...esan Vigil Mass for Life from St. Paul Cathedral on Thursday, January 28 at 7:00 pm. The Mass will be livestreamed on Comcast channel 65, online at christianassociatestv.org, and the Facebook page of St Paul Cathedral. This Mass will occur right before the national vigil begins in Washington, D.C. Bishop William Waltersheid, who leads our 40 Days for Life Pittsburgh in prayer at our kick-off and closing Masses and in Eucharistic Procession to the downtown abortion facility, has written: A NOTE FROM BISHOP WILLIAM WALTERSHEID, EPISCOPAL VICAR FOR EVANGELIZATION: This January, as in every year, the Church asks us to remember the most vulnerable human beings who are the future of the human family in our society and in our nation the pre-born children in their mother’s womb. Even in the midst of a pandemic, we must not forget those who have no voice but ours to speak for their defense, their well-being and their right to be born. Out of an abundance of caution because of COVID-19, Bishop Zubik asked parishes and institutions of the Diocese of Pittsburgh not to organize groups to participate in the March for Life scheduled for January 29 in Washington, DC.The USCCB has decided to close to the public the opening Mass on the evening of January 28, the Prayer Vigil that follows, and the Mass on the day of the March itself.Does that mean that we are not praying for and witnessing to the Pro-Life message of the Gospel? Not by a long shot! We never forget the unborn, all those women and men wounded by abortion, and all those in danger of being deprived of the God-given gift of life.Let us offer our prayer without ceasing and make our voices heard not just in January but throughout the entire year and beyond until the gift of life is protected, loved, and cherished by all! Love and prayer is the answer! See more
