At the Y, our community’s health and safety is our foremost priority. In the wake of recent government announcements and mandated closures announced by Governor Wolf on December 10, 2020, we must temporarily close our facilities. Our facility will be closed beginning December 12, 2020 through January 3, 2021. We will reopen January 4, 2021 at 8am. We thank you for your continued support of the Y and for sticking by our side. As we continue to offer you virtual classes and pr...ograms, billing will continue. Please reach out to us M-F from 9-5pm for membership info. Here's a reminder of what we've done together throughout 2020: https://bit.ly/39YUo4F
Check out our new Group Exercise Schedule starting on November 2, 2020. As promised Strength Train Together is back!! Don't forget to call ahead to reserve your spot in class. Signing up is important because space is limited and it allows the YMCA staff to properly and safely set up the studio.
Thank you to our friends at lehighvalleylive.com for spreading the word about how the Allentown Warming Station collaborated with partners like Ripple Community Inc., The Lehigh Conference of Churches, Lehigh Valley Health Network Street Medicine and Allentown City without limits and provide expanded care for our neighbors experiencing homelessness throughout this winter storm. Happy Hanukkah from the Y! May love and light fill your home and heart.
Thankful Thursday: The Y values our relationship with partners like Waste Management which helped us to feed more than 7,000 meals and give 1,300 boxes of fresh produce to our neighbors over the summer! Thank you for being with us each week providing the support we needed to distribute. Check out this video to learn more about the power of partnerships: https://bit.ly/2W08M4m
Our friends at PBS39 shared this piece detailing how Lehigh Valley organizations continue to provide a warm, safe space for folks experiencing homelessness despite the challenges of COVID-19: https://bit.ly/2WnDR2q Thank you to all who support these important resources!
This fall, local families struggled to plan for virtual or hybrid schooling while they needed to work. To provide a solution, the Y partnered with Lehigh Valley Children's Centers (LVCC), launching the Edu-Childcare Program. Our Program currently serves almost 500 children Valley-wide!
