The faster that one learns about exposure, the faster they can take steps to protect themselves and others, hopefully helping to mitigate spread of the virus. ...This technology is most effective if as many people as possible take advantage of it, so we are strongly encouraging all in the Penn State community to download the app to their phone now. Matt Ferrari, associate professor of biology, researcher in the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics, and co-chair of the University’s Public Health and Science Assessment task force Penn State is urging all students, faculty and staff to download and use the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s COVID Alert PA app to assist with early detection of possible COVID-19 exposure. http://ow.ly/Rvg150C7aWj

It takes all of us to protect our community and doing so doesn’t mean compromising your Penn State experience. Mask up and explore the State College area or have a night in with your roommates. However you stay safe, doing so keeps our community healthy. #MaskUpOrPackUp

In the wake of COVID, this program has been flexible by providing in-class or Zoom flexibility, adjustments surrounding assignment due dates, increased office hours and increased professor availability. I think everyone has been super accessible and accommodating considering what we’re dealing with. I’ve seen the close family Penn State environment shine through the weight of a pandemic. I’m proud to be a Lion. Gerald Prince, '21 EMBA, says he enjoys working with some of the smartest people around as a student in the Penn State Smeal Executive MBA Program in Philadelphia. Prince, an associate director of manufacturing, was at University Park in August for one of two on-campus residencies. #SmealVoices #SmealEMBA #PennState #MaskUpOrPackUp
Stay safe on and off campus by avoiding large gatherings and traveling, wearing a mask, and social distancing. It’s our community and our responsibility to unite with our fellow Penn Staters and keep each other safe! Penn State #MaskUpOrPackUp
