It’s now been one year. It’s been so tough on the people who are called out daily to help others. Keep Matt, his wife and kids, his family, and all that knew him in your prayers today.
Our 107th year of operation is in the books. We had our 3rd straight year over 325 calls. Just ten years ago we went over 200 calls in consecutive years for the first time ever. With the steady rise in call volume, we are in need of your help! ... We are looking for help with additional crew members to respond to calls. - All training is provided. - You can drive/operate the apparatus. - You can provide support operations on emergency scenes. - You can do fire suppression and vehicle rescue. - Must be 18 years or older. - Must be able to handle any physical tasks required to effectively respond to calls. We are looking for associate members to assist with fundraisers and community events. - The department relies on fundraisers. These include gun bashes, ticket sales, fish fry, hoagie sales, community day, and the summer street fair. Anyone between the ages 14-17 can join the department as Junior Firefighters. - Receive training for fire and rescue. - Teaches various life skills. - Possible launching point for a career. Spread the word! If you know of anyone that could help us, please let us know! Thanks and be safe!
2020 has been quite the year for everyone. We cannot thank you all enough for your support through all of this! (That’s why we found a photo on the internet of this pup) We’ll tell you time and time again, our department operates off of donations, fundraisers, and grants. No taxes. YOU make it possible for us to provide service to the residents and visitors in the area. We hope you have a great New Year’s Eve and ring in the New Year with good health and some positive thought...s! Stay safe!
Glad to see the Former Attack 17 is still kicking butt! It was first arriving for a residential building fire last night with the Patoka Township Fire Department and operated multiple lines as the primary suppression unit.
If anyone has any photos of this Christmas Eve’s Santa run please share them with us! As always, thank you to everyone for their amazing support. Especially the American Legion Family of Post 790 who helped make the treat bags possible! This Christmas Eve tradition is well over 50 years old for our department and we honestly can say that our members have just as much fun as the young ones who see Santa riding around! ... Merry Christmas, everyone! Stay safe!
Is everyone ready for the big guy???
