SHS students designed and built a structure they thought would withstand an earthquake and then tested them by shaking the table until their structure fell!

IMPORTANT 10-DAY SCHOOL CLOSURE MESSAGE DATE: March 14, 2020 TO: Parents and Guardians... FROM: Matt Thompson, Director of Education Soaring Heights Schools have made the decision to follow the actions taken by our partner school districts and will be following the Governor’s 10-day closure of Pennsylvania K-12 schools. We are viewing this closure similar to a weather related event. Soaring Heights will continue to monitor and evaluate developments in the communities we serve and will communicate our intentions to resume school activities as information is made available. As you are all aware, this is a very fluid situation with circumstances changing rapidly and your patience is appreciated.

Dr. Suzy Scherf, a Penn State University professor with a background in autism intervention and research, will present Debunking and Myths of Autism at Soaring Heights School at 180 Regent Court, Suite 50 in State College, PA 16801 on Thursday, March 26, 2020 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Dr. Scherf will review current issues with autism such as vaccines, behaviors, repetitive behaviors, and early identification of potential issues during this free presentation.
