Throughout the Jewish month of Elul (the last month of the Jewish calendar before the New Year), when our ancestors prescribed that we blow the shofar regularly in order to arouse our souls in preparation for the High Holiday experience, we will be offering twice-weekly morning soulful Elul singing with Hazzan Jessi Roemer on Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 am, followed by blasts of the shofar from our congregants at 8:30 am.
