Happy Fourth, Sawmill Friends! Spacht Sawmill closes at NOON on Thursday, July 2nd and reopens Monday, July 6th. Celebrate the freedom to appreciate our differences as we work together for the common good of all people.

SAWMILL UPDATE - CLOSED JULY 3rd & JULY 4th Sawmill Friends. We will hold regular hours this week, but close on Friday July 3rd & Saturday, July 4th. Please remember, we close at NOON on Thursdays.... Mon - Weds 8 to 4:30 Thursday, 8 to Noon. Our phone is finally able to receive messages, too. Thank you, Comcast!

May 20, 1983. Dave and Carol Spacht purchased Place's old sawmill in Worcester Township. Today, Spacht Sawmill celebrates 37 years---photos show what the mill looked like on our first day in business. The sawmill is thriving, but we couldn't have accomplished it without the support of our family, friends, and many loyal customers. Thank you!

SAWMILL UPDATE! For the mental health of our fellow-woodworkers, Spacht Sawmill will re-open on Tuesday, April 21st with appropriate measures to insure the safety of all. In compliance with Pennsylvania state recommendations, personal protective masks MUST be worn. In addition, no more than 3 people will be allowed inside the building at anytime. We apologize, but we cannot accommodate children or non-essential visitors. We look forward to life returning to normal soon, but until that happens, please be considerate and help us comply with these public safety recommendations. Thank you!

Dave has been busy these past two weeks. Our 70-year old sawmill has some brand new (and expensive) gears and a rebuilt chain drag to replace the damage incurred during the winter by a fallen tree. We look forward to re-opening on Tuesday, April 21st. Please read our post about appropriate safety measures. Thank you!

Spacht Sawmill sells hundreds of live-edge pieces, and our customers use them to make beautiful tables, shelves and bar tops. Dave made our farmhouse table from an extraordinarily wide cherry slab....and yes, we sell these cast industrial legs in three sizes, if you want them for your coffee table, bench seat, or dining room table......shameless advertisement, but the cast legs give a great look and are easily installed!

Sawmill Friends....you can call it a mini "get-a-way" or really short vacation, but the sawmill will be closed on Monday and Tuesday Aug 19 & 20 for some R & R for Dave and Carol. Dave will be at the mill on Wednesday and Thursday, 8 - 4:30 PM. Sorry for any inconvenience, but we hope to see you soon!

Welcome to the world, Jonas David King! 6lbs 19" long. Thankful for a safe delivery---proud grandparents and big sister Lydia!

News alert! Spacht Sawmill is closed on Monday and Tuesday, July 15th & July 16th to welcome our new grandson! Dave will be at the sawmill for sure on Wednesday and full-day on Thursday. Family comes first friends.....thank you!
