Hi everyone! Happy Friday! We want to stare this small victory with you all. We recently signed up with Terracycle and Bausch & Lomb to participate in their contact lens recycling program. We’ve been collecting for about three months and today we shipped off about FIFTEEN POUNDS of used contact lens materials! We’re happy to do our part in keeping micro-plastics out of our landfills, but we wouldn’t be able to do it without you thank you for collecting your contacts lens wa...ste and dropping it off to us. If you aren’t familiar with our recycling program, it’s really simple and we would love for you to participate! Just collect your used lenses, blister packs & foil tops, and drop them off at our office located on the corner of College Ave & Fraser St. We take care of the rest! What happens to your used contact lenses? Terracycle is a world leader in the collection and repurposing of hard-to-recycle post-consumer waste. Recently, they used recycled contact lens materials to create & donate new custom training modules to the guide dog foundation located in Smithtown, NY. These will be utilized in the training of guide dogs for individuals who are blind. Personally, we’re all for anything involving recycling and puppies!! We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
