An update about donations for Camp JTD: needed TOMORROW! The camp is in need of help for storm preparedness for Tuesday's storm. They need: tarps, parachute chord, stakes, duct tape, and some extra tents for people whose tents are broken. They would also love help setting residents up with these things tomorrow (Monday)- if you are interested in this let us know we can put you in contact with someone!

And then a couple months later I was touring Europe’s FIRST village of tiny homes for people experiencing homelessness. My first of 2 trips to Scotland to work at the village and learn best practices. This work is truly collaborative, and our partnerships span the globe.

And then literally one month after that first inspiration post about tiny homes, I set off on a world tour of tiny homes villages to learn best practices. First up: Eugene, Oregon, which continues to inspire and inform this work!

HPF In the Community - Anyone who knows me knows I'm kind of obsessed with tiny houses. I love them! I could go on and on about design, affordability, sustainab...ility, etc., but the truth is tiny homes are a useful and feasible answer to addressing the issue of homelessness. And it looks like our fair city is finally catching on. Yesterday I was overjoyed and privileged to be invited to travel to Lancaster, PA to tour Liberation Tiny Homes PA with a group of concerned Philadelphia citizens including Stephanie Sena, Founder and President of Student-Run Emergency Housing Unit of Philadelphia, Councilmember Jamie Gauthier, Councilmember Helen Gym, Councilmember Mark Squilla, Councilmember At-Large Allan Domb , Councilmember At Large Kendra Brooks, and others to tour existing models and learn how we can best bring this vital resource to Philadelphia. It was an amazing day! It's so encouraging to see the City moving forward in this area. See more
