#tbt St. Nicholas School in Egg Harbor, New Jersey. Opened on September 17, 1893 by Sr. M. Clotilda, superior, and Srs. M. Markus and Nepmucene. It was our only mission in the Camden diocese at that time. In the 1950s when this photo was taken enrollment was approximately 300 students.

#TBT St. Joseph Hospital in Baltimore was the second hospital founded by the congregation. Originally three small dwellings at 187, 189, and 191 N. Caroline Street were offered to Mother Agnes for the sick by a Ms. Catherine Eberhard. Three sisters went to Baltimore on September 25, 1864, to begin this work. A small unit was opened to the public early in 1865.

Our Sr. Marie Lucey is one of those working to get out the vote. She's the associate director of Franciscan Action Network (FAN), which made three videos this year to encourage people to vote. "We don't have a good history of voting in this country," Lucey said. "We either take too much for granted, or people think their vote doesn't count. But voting is a right and a responsibility."

At Red Hill Farm, the farmers are working on growing and planting in preparation for the fall and next spring. When the water pump broke this summer, it was an unexpected challenge that the team overcame. Now, they are planning a blueberry garden and would like your support. Please give and know that you will be remembered for years to come. https://buff.ly/3b1jP3W #Blueberrygarden, #theSistersofStFrancis, #RedHillFarm
