Today is #GlobalHandwashingDay. SoapOpen hands Washing hands with soap and warm water kills germs and protects us from #COVID19. The song snippets below are the recommended 20 seconds for effective hand washing, so you can sing them in your head or out loud while you lather up!

Want to help kids in the City of Philadelphia learn to read? Does your child need help reading? Sign up to be a "Reading Coach" or sign your child up for the FREE program and get them the help they need to be a more proficient reader! #PhillyRead #PhillyReadingCoach Sign your child up for free, online reading sessions with the Philly Reading Coaches! A trained volunteer will read one-on-one with your child, twice a week, for 60 minutes. This fall, our virtual program is rec...ommended for grades K3. Sessions will take place on weekday afternoons from November 2020 through May 2021. All Philly Reading Coaches volunteers will be screened and trained, and reading sessions will be supervised by a trained Reading Coordinator. Online reading sessions will take place on Cisco Webex. Your child will receive 25 books throughout the program to help build their home library. You will also have access to the Literacy Pro platform where they can choose from an ebook library with more than 2,300 titles. To help your family prepare for the virtual platform, we will host parent orientations with instructions on how to access your child's reading sessions, as well as tips to support your student and keep the reading going at home.
