Currently she teaches ceramics and sculpture at Bucks County Community College, and is the director of the Wilson College Ceramics Studio at Princeton University. She has taught ceramics and sculpture at Herron School of Art, Indiana University, Indianapolis; ...The University of Southern Maine, Portland, ME; and the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO. She has attended artist residencies including the John Michael Kohler Arts Industry residency, Kohler, WI; Sculpture Space, Utica, NY; Peters Valley, NJ; Southern Methodist, University, Dallas, TX and Wheaton Arts (glass facility) in Millville, NJ. Her work has been included in group and solo exhibitions, including the Jersey City Museum, Dallas International airport, Aljira Center for Contemporary Art, Newark, NJ; and the Newark Museum of Art, NJ. SPOTLIGHT: DANA L. STEWART was born, October 10, 1951, and raised in California, where he developed interests in art, animals and surfing. Early sculptural work...s were executed in various materials including ceramics, resin and welded metal. During his Master’s program at San Diego State University, Dana met Herk Van Tongeren, who introduced him to ceramic shell bronze casting. Herk invited Dana to come east in order to do research at the Johnson Atelier. A two-week visit to New Jersey turned into 30 years plus years! Dana’s career evolved from being the head of the ceramic shell department at the Atelier in 1977 to operating his own commercial casting facility, called Stewart Sculpture Casting in Lambertville, NJ, where he produces his sculptures in bronze and provides the service to many other artists.
