Due to shortages at our local markets, it has been difficult for the Lord's Pantry to purchase all of the items needed to provide well balanced and healthy meal...s to our clients. Donations of fresh fruit and vegetables in addition to non perishable items would be greatly appreciated. We will be accepting donations during our regular hours on Thursday. See more

St. James’ Episcopal Church, Downingtown, PA, is suspending all services, meetings, and gatherings at our parish for the next two weeks effective immediately du...e to concerns around COVID-19. So, from Saturday, March 14th to Sunday, March 22nd we will be closed. This also includes our St. James Preschool as well as our St. James’ Thrift Shop. We will re-evaluate this on March 23rd. This is a new dynamic, but we are not alone. Christ is with us. Be praying as much as you can...from personal needs to global. As our bishop, the Rt. Rev. Daniel G.P. Gutierrez shared with the diocesan clergy yesterday, be patient with others. Coincidentally, in the Ecumenical Men’s Pray Breakfast (Men’s bible study), we have been reading about Exodus and the plagues. I’m thankful for the depth of Holy Scripture and how God gives us hope in our lives. He is always with us on our journey and is there to provide what we need.
