Jim Hayer presided over a blessing of the opening of Lanahu Ales, a new brew pub in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. Owner George Merenich accepted holy water and a cross from Fr. Hayer, pastor of St Thomas The Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church, Rahway, New Jersey. The pair have been friends since childhood. This past weekend we celebrated the Feast of the Holy Archangel Michael and all angelic powers. Did you know? In the village of Osturna, Slovakia, where many of St. Mary's founding families came from, Saint Michael is the patron of the village church AND the centerpiece of the village's heraldry.
