Who’s the cutest new lesson pony? Meet Menowen, whose name means strong friend in Gaelic.
Trip to Blue Marsh during the beautiful fall weather proved a great training day, especially for Menowen.

We decided that Star could be a giraffe for Halloween. Coming soon: Menowin and Rowan as Budweiser ponies.
Beautiful weather for the boarders, staff and I to ride out around the farm. The horses love riding outside just as much as we do. Reminder: We DO NOT offer horse rental or open trails for the public.
Stony Run Fields is getting new paint. Praying for the crew as they work on the higher areas today!
Please remember due to health concerns, everyone is required to wear a mask and wash hands upon entering the facility. Thank you for your cooperation!
We thank Greg Eliel from 3 Pillars Equestrian for spending the afternoon session with our boarders are friends on ground work exercises. How we execute ground work transfers to how our horse can get soft, supple, balanced, responsive, and light in the hands of the rider if the humans learn to master the technique of the release. All of this eventually leads to straightness if the humans can learn to feel what is needed to do when. Easier said then done. Thank you Greg for your patience!
Many things learned today with the 3 Pillars Greg Eliel Clinic. Looking forward to Saturday.
We Welcome Greg Eliel and his team from 3 Pilllars Equestrian, NJ for our Horsemanship Clinic Friday and Saturday!
Happy 4th from our place to yours!
Menowen is a super star 2 year old for his first few rides under saddle. What a mellow dude! Looking forward to his future. Such a love !
Getting ready for the clinic July 10-12, 2020. Please message us for details. Advance payment required.
Today was a long training day on the trails. This is where the ground work, patience, consistency and determination pays off. You want to have a good relationship based on trust not fear when having to cross through rapid running water, steep rocky hills, narrow ledges, careful steps through protruding roots and sticky vines. Then top it off with a full gallop sprint before a long cool down to the final swim. Thank you boarders for sharing the experience today.
As we plan and prepare to open in the near future, and for the safety of everyone - COVID 19 Policies and Procedures are implemented. We are all in this together. It’s good timing to review ground work and reduce spookiness. Levi is a fast learner!

So grateful that our herd is happy, healthy and NOT affected by COVID 19- people herd included.
Spring is making its appearance around the farm.
Nap time after playtime. Rowan and Mennowen are zonked.
We miss working with our people. We hope everyone is doing their part to be safe and healthy. This photo comes from Long Island Dressage. Thought I would share something light. Maybe I will try this with Cabot.
They were clean... now dirty.
Just confirming to Aspens admirers that he is still the super model at the barn, and still here.
When it’s raining and muddy outside, this is how we get all the horses in the barn to play and get exercise so they don’t go stir crazy.
Looks like we have a fearless yearling in training.
Buster and Curly got a day out to Blue Marsh for a trail ride. Getting a day out is just as important as work day in the arena for mental health and fitness.
The best way to start the work day is with a morning greeting from these two yearlings!
This how we play on a rainy day!
Playtime outside and the continuous battle for herd leader. Even though Curly is older he isn’t giving up his role. Look the mares across the driveway getting excited too.
Look at our new rising Stars. Meet Star the TB horse from a TB retired race horse program who has filled out nicely in the last 6 months and Kate who’s getting ready for 2020 show season.
Most people who ride knew this already, hmmm. Riding in a field and uneven ground help teach riders to really use their own legs to balance too!
Meet Curly. Curly AKA Sierra Sunset, a Mustang from Montana seems to be the latest favorite among the ladies for his steady trot work. He has been by best buddy for the last 15 years.
One of our riders wrote a letter to Curly. It made my week! Thank you Ceann.
So true. Stay in touch for upcoming clinic dates with 3 Pillars Equestrian from Frenchtown, NJ who also share good horsemanship philosophy.
Heal your body, mind and soul by riding a horse. Contact us about lessons and horsemanship. Clinic Schedule to be announced ASAP.
Great day of learning and experiencing at 3 Pillars Equestrian in Frenchtown NJ for the international event! Dressage and Working Equitation with trail obstacles was the focus. Curly was a super star with yesterday’s work through the obstacles.
Have to love Fall weather and all the beautiful colors. The horses love it too.
Stony Run Fields is excited to join up with Troy Hendricks USEF certifies trainer and Kimber-View Stables for the clinics and upcoming 2020 show season. Thank you Troy sharing your knowledge and experience! Looking forward to a fantastic year!

Stony Run Fields welcomes baby Gypsy Vanners Rowen and Minnowen!!!
The calm after the storms. Grateful for our barn builders solid construction! So happy for sunny day today!
Serina was co teaching with me today with Nancy on how to stay connected with your lower leg and what happens when they are not. Especially important to learn to feel and do to ride serpentines.
Feeling blessed and grateful! Storms today with neighbors trees down, and the farm next us had roof damage. But the our barn is ok.
Happy horses makes happy kids!
Sarah came all the way from Romania to ride with us while she is visiting in the US. She is a relative of a rider I had 5 years ago who also rode Serina and Curly.
Love the quiet evenings at the barn. Thank you barn staff for all your help, especially in all types of extreme weather.
Very excited to ride in our new Kent sand over our level base. Thank you Tim!!
Spending a Clinic day with Rudy Horsemanship in Jonestown learning ground work exercises for suppleness, control and strengthening with our horses.
Natural Horsemanship Clinic Saturday with Tim Hayes focusing on Equine Therapy and Human Beings instead of Human Doings. So much learning about people and horses! We decided we need another clinic to continue, so stay in touch about near future clinics. Thank you Tim!
