We thank Christine Betz and Terry Grogan for running our dressage clinic Saturday. Each rider had a private session with Christine for an hour that included riding, training, biting information and saddle fitting accordingly to the horse and rider. Lots of learning and information for all that attended! THANK YOU ladies for superb day!

Getting ready for winter. Join us we line up clinics for horse and riders in the indoor arena with surrounding windows for lighting amd ventilation with the prevailing COVID 19. Masks are mandatory, as is the use of hand sanitizer.

December 5th at 9:00 AM Stony Run Fields is presenting Christine Betz is a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalist. Private one hour lessons will be run rhythm day. Cost $110 per per person. Christine Betz is a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalist. ... Christine’s scores for these medals were achieved on her Bavarian Warmblood Catus, whom she trained herself to Grand Prix. Christine has trained with Janna Dyer Marat Bakhramov, Debbie McDonald, Heather Mason, Alfredo Hernandez, and Bent Jensen.

We are hosting one hour private coaching lessons for you and your horse with Christine Betz at our facility on 5 Dec. Cost for a session is $110. Payment can be made by Venmo, PayPal, Check or Cash. Beautiful weather for the boarders, staff and I to ride out around the farm. The horses love riding outside just as much as we do. Reminder: We DO NOT offer horse rental or open trails for the public.

We thank Greg Eliel from 3 Pillars Equestrian for spending the afternoon session with our boarders are friends on ground work exercises. How we execute ground work transfers to how our horse can get soft, supple, balanced, responsive, and light in the hands of the rider if the humans learn to master the technique of the release. All of this eventually leads to straightness if the humans can learn to feel what is needed to do when. Easier said then done. Thank you Greg for your patience!

Today was a long training day on the trails. This is where the ground work, patience, consistency and determination pays off. You want to have a good relationship based on trust not fear when having to cross through rapid running water, steep rocky hills, narrow ledges, careful steps through protruding roots and sticky vines. Then top it off with a full gallop sprint before a long cool down to the final swim. Thank you boarders for sharing the experience today.

As we plan and prepare to open in the near future, and for the safety of everyone - COVID 19 Policies and Procedures are implemented. We are all in this together. Please read and be advised by the following policies: 1-If you are sick or were sick with fever, cough or shortness of breath, please stay home. 2- please wear a mask 3-anyone entering the building MUST wash hands for 25 seconds with soap and water in the bathroom before you go anywhere else... 3- social distancing 4- please use the disinfecting stations after using brushes, lead ropes, and anything used for your lesson. 5- staff will continually spraying with disinfectant throughout the day all frequently touched items of door knobs, stall latches, cross ties, bathroom, light switches, wash stall faucets, etc. 6- a COVID 19 waiver must be completed after washing hands by everyone entering the facility. 7- any observers need to wait in the car unless the riding lessons are being held outside. Buster and Curly got a day out to Blue Marsh for a trail ride. Getting a day out is just as important as work day in the arena for mental health and fitness.

The best way to start the work day is with a morning greeting from these two yearlings!

Look at our new rising Stars. Meet Star the TB horse from a TB retired race horse program who has filled out nicely in the last 6 months and Kate who’s getting ready for 2020 show season.

Most people who ride knew this already, hmmm. Riding in a field and uneven ground help teach riders to really use their own legs to balance too!

Meet Curly. Curly AKA Sierra Sunset, a Mustang from Montana seems to be the latest favorite among the ladies for his steady trot work. He has been by best buddy for the last 15 years.

One of our riders wrote a letter to Curly. It made my week! Thank you Ceann.

Great day of learning and experiencing at 3 Pillars Equestrian in Frenchtown NJ for the international event! Dressage and Working Equitation with trail obstacles was the focus. Curly was a super star with yesterday’s work through the obstacles.

Serina was co teaching with me today with Nancy on how to stay connected with your lower leg and what happens when they are not. Especially important to learn to feel and do to ride serpentines.

Feeling blessed and grateful! Storms today with neighbors trees down, and the farm next us had roof damage. But the our barn is ok.

Sarah came all the way from Romania to ride with us while she is visiting in the US. She is a relative of a rider I had 5 years ago who also rode Serina and Curly.
