Sugar Lake/Deckard's UMC 06.01.2021

With things opening up it actually feels like summer! This Sunday, June 7, 9:45 @ Sugar Lake and 11:00 @ Decakrd's we're going to look at "Worship with Doubt". This will be based upon scripture from 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 and Matthew 28:16-20. We will also be celebrating my final Communion during this service as the Pastor of these amazing churches. I hope you can join us.

It looks like the winter that never was is finally going to be followed by a spring that's ready to spring! In God there's always a renewal! This week, May 24th, 9:45 @ Sugar Lake and 11:00 @ Deckard's we are going to talk about the Ascension of Jesus and the glory that allows in our lives. Based upon scripture from Acts 1:6-14,1 Peter 4:12-14; 5:6-11 and John 17:1-11. I hope you can join us. Please remember that if you have underlying medical conditions or just aren't ready until things turn green again that's OK! You are in our prayers and God has you in his hands.

The world is opening up around us! Have you noticed that during the lock-down the weather has been cold and gloomy nearly every day? Suddenly we're coming out of it and the sunshine and warmth is coming back! God is good! This Sunday, May 17, 9:45 @ Sugar Lake and 11:00 @ Deckard's we will be speaking "Metaphorically". This will be based upon scripture from Acts 17:22-31,1 Peter 3:13-22 and John 14:15-21. I hope to see you there!

This week, May 10, Mother's Day, 9:45 @ Sugar Lake and 11:00 @ Deckard's we will be discussing "It’s Good to be a Baby!". Seems appropriate when talking about Mothers! The scripture will be from 1 Peter 2:2-10 and John 14:1-3. I hope you can come and join us. We are in the "Yellow" phase of the States reopening and we will be following the State guidelines for Social Distancing. Know that if you are uncomfortable that it's OK to stay home! There's no place God can't find you and if you look for Him He will be there!

What a Spirit filled service last Sunday at both churches! This Sunday, May 3, 9:45 @ Sugar Lake and 11:00 @ Deckard's we will be asking the question of ourselves, "Are we sheeple or people of God?" This will be based upon scripture in 1 Peter 2:19-25 and John 10:1-10. Come and join us if you are comfortable. We are practicing social distancing and mask are welcome and available.... If you aren't comfortable or have underlying conditions please know we pray for each of you and can't wait to be together again!
