The Center for Returning Citizens

This morning I had the unique opportunity to have an extended telephone conference with Dennis and Lee Horton who are currently @ SCI Chester awaiting the delivery of their computation papers so that they can return to society. I was very impressed by their wisdom, knowledge, experiences, work behind the wall and their sincere desire to return to Philadelphia & restart their lives, reintegrate with their family, atone for the past and give back to the community. Here at the TCRC Community Healing Center we are so pleased to be able to assist them in every way to successfully transition..... we look forward to chronicling the lives & return of this dynamic duo.......

It is a matter of principle that the next supreme court justices not only be a woman but should be chosen by the American people .....the election of the next president should determine the choice for Supreme Court Justice......It will take four Republican senators to show moral principle and back bone to oppose the Trump administration and ensure that a vote will not be successful. Two have spoken ....... we need two more! It is fitting that two women are the first to break the Republican ranks and uphold their sacred duty to the American people! #peopleoverparty

Many people think that my primary job is the TCRC Community Healing Center ...actually that is my part time work & something I do out of love for the community....& because it is necessary.......... My job that pays the bills .... my primary work is as Program Manager of FreshStart@YourLibrary in New Jersey which is a Reentry program that was created through a grant that was obtained by the New Jersey State library. The Program coordinates with the New Jersey State Parole Bo...ard and the New Jersey State Labor force to find employment and to link NJ Returning Citizens to essential services, employment, a better transition & life. It is coordinated out of 6 NJ Libraries: Paterson, Newark, Long Branch, Trenton, Atlantic City, Cumberland County and in September Philadelphia free library will be joining the team. Since Covid 19 I have been working remotely @ home and in the Healing Center office for FreshStart@YourLibrary. I am going to be posting employment opportunities, events and other information that will assist Returning Citizens in New Jersey and Philadelphia to move forward through the pandemic and into the future See more

My grandchildren and my godchildren work at the TCRC Healing Center for two reasons; so that they can understand what it means to serve the community and also u...nderstand the value of hard work, earning money and paying for the things that they desire. The upside is I also get a chance to spend time with them and import a little bit of wisdom into brain cells that can surely use it. Vanessa’s day is Monday so after work today I invited her to have a dinner date with me. (sweet-and-sour chicken w mushrooms onions & green peppers, rice and tossed salad. ... dessert: peaches/ blueberries bananas & icecream) She has a unique sense of humor and a different way of looking at the world and she’s always fun to spend time with especially when it’s by herself and she is not performing for her cousins. Covid 19 Has thrown a total wrench into the system.....If they are not processing civil and commerce trials and that’s where the money is .......you know how they gonna feel about thecriminal justice system..... If you can’t make bail ain’t no telling when you gonna come to trial
