The Computer Stop is taking the current pandemic due to the coronavirus very seriously. Please continue to visit our website for more updates in the future. www.thecomputerstoppittsburgh.com During this challenging time, everyone needs to adhere to the CDC guidelines of social distancing. Therefore, in accordance with the order of Governor Tom Wolf to close of all non-life-sustaining businesses to close statewide, all in store repairs, purchases, pickups and drop-offs will ...need to be scheduled ahead of time via phone, email, or text. The store will be open for scheduled appointments only. We also offer REMOTE ASSISTANCE that may be utilized to solve, (albeit not ideally) almost ALL issues before it would become necessary to bring in any computers in person. We would strongly encourage anyone to continue to reach out to me if they think the need any technical questions, problems, or concerns addressed. I am here, and I am certainly willing to do what it takes to help all of my clients during this unusual time of new normals. Also, we will schedule everyone spaced out accordingly in order to prevent the potential spread of the virus due to overcrowding my shop at one time. As always, the safety and health of our customers remains our top priority. Thank you for your continued support, and be safe!

As I always say, "Your probability of data loss is directly related to the amount of time that has passed since the last proper back up!" In other words, please make frequent backups! Thank you!!!

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the WWW, please take just a second to appreciate the dedication and foresight of engineers, like Tim Berners-Lee, at CERN: ... "In 1993, CERN issued a statement putting the Web into the public domain, ensuring that it would act as an open standard. The move had an immediate effect on the spread of the Web." #Web30 #ForTheWeb #HackThePlanet https://twitter.com/i/status/1105423189247705088
