Hope you are all well. We are cautiously trying to proceed with business. Things keep changing. Oh well. Had time to go for an extra walk, this morning. There is a paved path to the right on Water Street before the bridge before Appalachian Brewing Company. It's very shady and green. Today is cloudy. It will be worth coming back on a sunny day for a different impression. Ducks of all sizes were still waking up around 8:30. I guess cloudy days are good for sleeping in even for them. Stay well.
Happy Summer! This picture was supposed to be posted on Memorial Day, but I am having problems with our Facebook page. Lititz is finally starting to open. Our stay-at-home order was lifted 5 hours and 20 minutes ago. We hope you are all well. Looking forward to being able to do more activities. We still have rooms available for the July 4 holiday. If you would like a room, please call. I'm saving the rooms for you, first. Stay safe.
Happy Mother's Day!! This is part of the gnome garden by the Warwick Ephrata Rail Trail. It always makes me smile. There are so many things to see just at this spot. So many views along the 7 to 8 mile trail are beautiful. At the inn, we planted impatiens and geraniums a week ago. We always try to plant before Mother's Day in honor of mothers. It looks like the flowers survived 2 nights of freezing temperatures. Happy Mother's Day, again.
I hope you are all well. It's been very quiet here, needless to say. We have lots of time to decide what our procedures will be when people want to visit again. In the mean time I'll talk to Sparky, the betta, just so he doesn't talk back.
Hi, everyone. We're trying to stay busy in this unprecedented time. Here is a picture of a pot of African violets that is now 3 years old. I can't believe it is still alive and blooms!!. They came from Stauffers of Kissel Hill. So, we're planting some flowers outside and continuing to cook. Most recently we had corned beef and cabbage, then shepherd's pie from the leftovers. Today, I may make oatmeal cookies and a roast chicken. On a less fun note, we have lots of time for Spring cleaning. Stay well.
